BAWDESWELL’S BEAUTIFUL GARDENS
Bawdeswell, perhaps better known for its Garden Centre on the Norwich to Fakenham road, also has some amazing gardens hidden behind the houses in the village. Many of them stretch way back to open fields, with the largest being 3 acres in size.
The village is holding an Open Gardens Weekend on 23rd - 24th June between 10am and 4pm. Sixteen gardens have so far agreed to throw their gates open. The starting point is the Village Hall where there is plenty of car parking, refreshments, a heritage exhibition and a children’s adventure play area. Entry to the gardens is by programme purchased at the Village Hall for £5 per family or group. Proceeds are for the church tower repairs. More details can be found on the website www.bawdeswell.net
