Public worship

Guidance about the conduct of public worship has been published this week on the Church of England website. Sunday services can now be resumed, including Holy Communion. Weddings, baptisms, confirmations and funerals can now take place in church once again (subject to a cap of 30 attending).

Risk assessment, social distancing and good Public Health hygiene measures still need to be followed for any kind of act of public worship. Much of the detail in the guidance needs to be worked through and applied to our different church settings, as we plan to get back into our churches. We also need to explore live-streaming public worship, so that those who cannot attend in person have the opportunity to join the congregation virtually.

For July, therefore, we will continue holding services via Zoom, as follows:

5th July: Word and Praise;

12th July: Heart of Norfolk Songs of Praise;

19th July: Word and Praise;

26th July: Iona Morning Worship.

Note: Word and Praise is a simplified version of Common Worship Morning Prayer, developed originally for use at Bawdeswell All Saints.
