Norfolk Constabulary

Norfolk Police have issued the following guidance (17th April) about Rogue Traders, via the on-line community noticeboard NextDoor:

“Norfolk residents are reminded to remain vigilant, and look out for vulnerable neighbours, as rogue traders operate during the lockdown period. Doorstep rogue traders will pretend to be skilled tradespeople such as builders, gardeners or handymen, offering services which often turns out to be of poor quality or unnecessary, resulting in costs that can rise far beyond an agreed quote.”

Any responsible contractor would not enter our homes unless it was an emergency call-out, but let’s be aware that some ‘rogue traders’ will try to exploit lock-down, sadly.

Minor repairs, such as the dripping tap in my bathroom hand-basin, can be fixed following YouTube tutorials.
