Safeguarding - who to contact if you have any concerns

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of each parish in our Benefice takes Safeguarding very seriously.  We believe that Safeguarding is right at the heart of the Christian faith and it is the responsibility of us all.

Each PCC is committed to making its parish church a safe environment for children, young people, vulnerable adults, and all its congregation.  The Safeguarding policy adopted by the PCCs can be found here: https://www.heartofnorfolkchurches.org.uk/safeguarding/safeguarding-policy/

Who to contact if you have a concern?

If you believe that a child or adult is in immediate danger of significant or serious harm you should call the police on 101.

The first point of contact within the Heart of Norfolk Benefice is Virginia Edgecombe who is Benefice Safeguarding Officer.  All safeguarding concerns or reports of alleged or suspected abuse should be reported promptly to her.  She can be contacted on mobile tel no:  07748837961 or at virginia.edgecombe@gmail.com

You can also report a concern directly to the Diocesan Safeguarding Office.  The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisers are Sue Brice who can be contacted on 07958 377079  or at sue.brice@dioceseofnorwich.org or Peter Sayer who can be contacted on 07342 999386 or at peter.sayer@dioceseofnorwich.org.
