Safeguarding Sunday – 16th November
16th November is Safeguarding Sunday. This is an annual ecumenical campaign led by independent Christian charity “Thirtyone:eight”.
They take their name from Proverbs 31:8 - “speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable”.
The campaign is in its seventh year and encourages churches to raise awareness about protecting vulnerable people from harm and abuse.
The theme this year is “Action Speaks Louder”. We are encouraged to not just talk about safeguarding but take positive action.
