HYMN: 296 Let all the world in every corner sing

Leader: welcome and Opening Prayer

We are one body,

With one Lord who is God and Lord of all.

We meet now in his presence,

To praise him as we ought

Our Christ the servant King

Who came to live and love

And who calls us to follow in life and love

To Him be all praise

In the Church and in the world

Now and for ever. Amen.

Leader: Please sit or kneel to confess our sins in penitence and faith, firmly resolved to keep God’s commandments and to live in love and peace with all.

All:  Almighty God our heavenly Father,

we have sinned against you and against our neighbour, in thought, word and deed,

through negligence, through weakness,

through our own deliberate fault.

We are truly sorry and repent of all our sins.

Forgive us all that is past;

and grant that we may serve you in newness of life

to the glory of your name.  Amen

Leader : May Almighty God,

who forgives all who truly repent,

have mercy upon us,

pardon and deliver us from all our sins,

confirm and strengthen us in all goodness,

and keep us in life eternal.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.        Amen

Leader

Generous God, we bring our thanks to you for this life and all its blessings, for joys great and simple, for gifts and powers more than we deserve, for the assurance that your mercy knows no limit, for the presence of Christ in our weakness and strength, for the power of Christ to transform our suffering.

In darkness and in light, in trouble and in joy, help us to trust your love, to serve your purpose, and to praise your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord,

the wills of thy faithful people;

that they, plenteously bringing forth the fruit of good works,

may of thee be plenteously rewarded;

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Leader: Let us end our service today by saying together the Grace

All: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God

and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all evermore.

Amen.
